After shopping around for the best price to wash a bulky, king-size comforter, I was a bit taken aback by the expense for this service. All cleaners I called quoted me about the same price. So I went next by their friendliness on the phone. Max I Walker (72nd and Giles) was, hands down, the best in this category. I dropped off the comforter and they said it would take about 5-7 business days to get it back. They sent a text on the 5th day and said it was ready for pick-up. They have a drive-thru which was convenient. The comforter came out wonderfully clean and folded in a plastic bag that was easy to carry. I will be going back for other laundry needs and I highly recommend Max I Walker. Edit: I took this same comforter back to Max I Walker approximately 6 months later. It was used for 3 or 4 days and had a small urine stain which was brought to their attention. I was told it would be an extra charge of $15 to treat the stain - a little excessive, but fine. They said it would be about 6 business days to have it ready. They contacted me 2 business days later and said they could not wash it because it had a rip in it (?). I have yet to find any hole or rip in the comforter. I was very disappointed and probably won't go back. They did refund my money since I had to put half down. I was a bit put off by the employee who called me that morning. She sounded very unorganized and at first sounded like she didn't know why she was calling me.

The lady was very nice, and it was quick and easy. Dropped off in the evening and everything was ready the next day. I would recommend them for a quick and painless experience. They only provide estimates when dropping off, and they will tell you the actual amount when it was ready. For me the service was right where they estimated it at. But I presume if something was especially dirty or covered in dog hair or something it would have come in above the estimate.

I highly recommend this MaxiWalker! They are outstanding. I’ve taken everything from drapes, rugs, wedding dresses, coats, suits, table cloths, sweaters to, (my favorite), dress shirts. The little bit extra I pay for a crisp crease down the sleeves is worth every penny. Plus, they have coupons and I use those regularly. They’ve been perfect every time for over 30 years! Staff very friendly service faster then they said would recommend them I got some hats cleaned and was worried they were bad but they did amazing

I dropped it off and was told it would be done the next day at 5 PM. I received a text message the next day and it was ready the next day by noon so I was able to pick it up early, which helped due to my busy schedule.
