Pricing Without Pink Tax

Chances are you’ve heard of the term “pink tax” before -the everyday products that cost more for women than men. Dry cleaners are among many of the industries often scrutinized for price discrimination, but Max I. Walker does not base dry cleaning and a laundering prices on gender. A considerable amount of shirts are constructed in the same way and can be laundered and pressed on the same equipment -no matter the gender. If a shirt needs to be cared for differently due to the fabric, construction, detail or embellishment there will be upcharges, but the base pricing remains equal for men and women. In order to give every garment that comes through our doors a professional cleaning, we must charge according to time and labor -not gender.
